Day 22 – 10 to go

10 Feb

The night prior, I laid out my workout clothes complete with socks tucked in my shoes.  I told myself I’d do a morning workout.  My body woke up and I looked at the clock.  I had 5 minutes to get to they gym before a morning workout would dip into my time getting out the door to work.  I put on my clothes, grabbed a water bottle and was at the gym within 5 minutes.  You go girl! That’s what I said to myself. ;)

Then for dinner I totally vegged out.  Is that not the corniest line you’ve ever heard?  OK, OK, I’ll stop.

Day 21 – 11 to go

9 Feb

No exercise for me, I was busy watching Top Chef.  I would have been better off on a treadmill though, while watching Top Chef I made myself a second dinner of chili with the works.  Today I wonder why I have heartburn…

Day 19 – 13 to go

I felt pretty awful about myself for gorging and eating foods I haven’t touched in months (hello tasty pork rib that I devoured during Sunday brunch).  However after sulking and having resentment toward the Super Bowl because it’s all the NFL’s fault that my hand could not stop dipping into a bowl of Fritos corn chips,  I realized that I’m sure good at getting down on myself for my slip-ups and should focus more on the successes.  For real though, I’ve been working really hard at eating well and exercising for the last 19 days.  Gold star for me!

6 Feb

Nothing like a few meals out and the Super Bowl to derail my progress.  I’m not even listing my food because I didn’t track it this weekend. :(   I am however so happy with myself for getting up early to work out!  Hooray for a slight success!

I have company so this is going to be brief.  I had a lovely dinner out last night (think high calories) and managed to get a short and sweet workout in at lunchtime.

Day 15 – 17 to go

3 Feb

Our guests are here and still no melt downs to report.  We had a late dinner at the diner hence the french fries!  The rest of the weekend will also include more meals out so I’m hoping to keep up with the daily workouts.  They will help to scorch a bit of the extra calories I’ll be consuming.  Wish me luck!

Day 14 – 18 to go

2 Feb

Working out didn’t happen yesterday.  Don’t worry, I wasn’t on the couch watching reality TV.  I was cleaning for the out- of-town guests I mentioned here.   Guess what?  No meltdowns.  At least not yet.  There are still 10 hours until they arrive.  Wish me luck!

I’m in the teens in terms of days to go…only 19!  I’m proud to report that I’m halfway to my goal weight.  Yippee!!
