Easter Candy

31 Mar

For weeks I’ve been looking for a Cadbury Egg.  I checked my grocery store twice, only to find they carry the carmel filled Cadbury Eggs and not the creme filled.  Then I checked Walmart.  No Cadbury eggs to be found.  Finally after a hard workout at the gym last night I decided to go to Rite Aid.  Lo and behold they had them!  My only dilemma here was, do I buy just a single egg or a package of four??  Because I’m trying to loose some junk from the trunk I decided to buy the pack of four.  I know, I know.  I should have just purchased one.  Which brings me to my next topic.  Yesterday on the way into work I heard on the radio that sugar can be just as addicting as hard-core drugs.

“Hello, my name is Rizzle and I’m an addict.”

Are you addicted to anything?

Cake Coming Out of My Ears

18 Mar

Saturday my niece with knotty hair turns 3!  She’s having a Little Mermaid themed birthday party.  I’m making her cake and dozens (6 dozen to be exact) of cupcakes.  My sister, AKA Sophia’s mom, called me Monday morning to tell me that Sophia has been dreaming of her birthday cake.  It is to have pink frosting and stripes.  I will accommodate the pink frosting, but there won’t be stripes unforunately.   Hopefully the Ariel figurine on top will be sufficient.

After this 3 year old party, we’re off to another party.  We have a friend, grandparents, a brother in law/brother,  and a sister/sister in law coming to town this weekend all for different events all from different parts of the country.  Needless to say, it’s going to be a very, very busy weekend starting tonight when I begin to clean the guest bathroom and the rest of the house.

Wish me luck!

Day of the week

11 Mar

Monday I was able to do everything I didn’t do Friday.  Monday I realized that my Tupperware had been thrown away from the break room refrigerator.

Tuesday was busy.  Tuesday I found my Tupperware sitting on the breakroom counter.  I wonder if someone accidentally took it home?

Wednesday was also busy.  Wednesday we celebrated my father in law’s sixty-something birthday.  We ate turkey burgers, salad and french fries.  No cake, candles or presents.  I guess that’s what happens when you turn sixty-something.

Thursday.  I’m tired.  I can’t wait until Friday.

XOXO,

Rizzle’s Weekend Review

6 Mar

UGH!  It has been a nightmare of week with work.  I’ve been SO busy.  Too busy to do anything else.  Next week doesn’t look any better either.

Last night, Katdaddy took me to a very nice dinner at a Steak House.  I ordered the blackened rib eye.  It was like heaven.  Katdaddy is eating my leftovers for breakfast now.  Dinner was amazing and I was actually able to take my mind off the two reports I have yet to finish, the thingy I have to send to legal and the 36 emails lingering in my inbox.  UGH again!

Today I’m going to get a pedicure.  My toes need it and so do I.  I took a stress relieving bath this morning with cardmon and lemongrass aromatherapy to take my worries away.  It worked.  For now.

Later I will go to the gym because I need to loose 9 pounds before my vacation to Hawaii in May.  Then I need to keep those 9 pounds off until my wedding.  The Girl Scouts of America are not helping my progress with their devilish little cookies.

I think I should finish my two reports, send that thingy to legal and clear out my email inbox.  What do you think?
